My CVPI blew a gasket (head gasket) on the BRAND NEW (only 10k miles) engine that was put in the car. After going back and forth, I think it's been determined that I'm gonna have to sue the shop to honer their \"Unlimited mileage/3 year warranty\" on the engine.

Seeing as it needed rack & pinion work, gonna need a rear end, and the OD was starting to throw codes, I decided to go ahead and throw in the towel.

Here's my charger..... Whatya think?

It has the shifter in the console, and not by the steering wheel.... any ideas where to get my HAVIS console at? Very Happy

Mike

Why? Are they saying you abused it or something? Show me a CVPI that hasn't been abused!

I like the Charger. No HEMI?

No- this is the daily driver WITHOUT kids! Very Happy

I came Soooooo close to buying an Impala.... I just liked the way the charger handled and looked more... plus I personally like rear wheel drive.

Now... the havis sheild & jotto desk equipment console that I can find don't take into consideration that my shifter is in the floor.

Any suggestions? Also, anybody have any install pics anywhere? I know that Pimp will chime in with probably 20 links or so... but I'm thinking that this oughta get a push bar too.... Wink

Why not just buy a CVPI brand new and un-abused, to your specs?

I think you are out of luck for now. I haven't seen any made for the floor mount shifter...but then again I haven't really been looking either. Maybe D&R Electronics was in the process of developing one Confused Question

Mike,
I can't find it right now (of course), but I just saw a thread in the past week or so, where someone mentioned that they either had developed or were developing a console for the civvie Charger with the floor shifter. Enjoy it!

*Edit* It was D&R that was developing the console with the floor shifter, no go on the HAVIS.

I remember someone saying they had developed one, but i can't find the thread either. I'd check with safetylighting..... If anyone is making one, i'm sure he'll have it available shortly for his civie demo charger!!!

Because it's a CHARGER, 1000x better looking than a CVPI. Very Happy

What are you going to do in the way of lights? A Stealth Visor sure would look great.

Well...

Ran into some problems today....

Major transmission hiccups at speed going down the highway. It really scares me because it only has 9000 miles left on the original warranty, and then I'll have to buy an extended warranty.

I called the dealer and asked if I could change my mind and get into another ride. Looks like momma is going to get her wish and get a 08 cobalt and I'm gonna lose my ride! Sad

Do you all think I should stick with the charger and see if they can get it fixed?

Anybody got a decent deal on a push bar? I want to get it ordered NOW so that I can start putting my stuff on it!

Very Happy

Tomorrow I will try to get a photo of one of the Fire Department's new Cobalts... and you'll be glad you're sticking with the Charger!
