    FDNY Ambulance Siren F'd^ ?

Is it just me or is something seriously wrong with the way the siren sounds coming from that bus! Almost sounds like the broken siren from GTA

I wanna say those are custom "attention" getting tones made for FDNY. some of their police cars have special tones to pierce though the noise of the city..

Sounds like they are just hitting the manual button or using the horn ring. Whatever it is, several people walking were covering their ears so it must have been effective...

Yeah, manual "blipping" of the siren. At the very beginning of the video it sounds like the siren is running on "wail" and the operator is blipping the manual to over ride it, then shuts down the wail and simply blips the siren in manual mode.
