Ok so I know the description for this controller says its for the different functions for a light bar.

But I want to know if I could just use it to run all my different lights I have. Like my grill lights my bumper lights rear lights ect. I am thinking that it would work. But wanted to see if someone knew for sure that it would work before I bought it.

If it won't what would you recommend??
Thanks

2 drawbacks to that switchbox- while it's programmable and the slide switch can activate any combination of push switches, they don't illuminate when activated by the slide switch, only when individually pushed. Nor is there a reminder tone that sounds at intervals when a switch is active.

the switches only turn on what you hook up to it... dont let the legends fool you. they are "end user selectable"

So would anyone recommend this switch system. I would prefer one that the indicator lights come on when the devise is on. But I guess I could live with them not coming on. I don't know why they are really there though? If they don't come on when you use the slide switch. That way u know what u have on at that time.

Let's get some clarity here- Chief please feel free to chime in.

1. Each button will cause a red light for that button to come on when pressed in the on position. Yes, or No? It should be Yes unless something has changed over the years.

2. Regarding the slide switch- it will work just fine. I think what Chief was trying to say is that on some of the newer more advanced control heads, some of the button lights would also flash to indicate that light is active/on via the slide switch (flash pattern or whatever programed for position 1, 2, or 3 on the slide switch) I'm old school and like the old Whelen control heads. None of the lights for the buttons would flash or come on when you threw on the slide switch.

When the slide switch energizes a push button function, the indicator light for that function does not illuminate
