Our department is switching all of our handheld radios to the APX6000xe. They are also now requiring everyone to use a radio belt with it. They ordered FDNY style belts that have the motorola style mic clip attached to the belt, but they can't find the matching clip "button" to attach to the back of the APX lapel mic (apparently they thought the belts would come with it). I've looked around and can't seem to locate a matching part number. Anyone switch an APX lapel mic to that style clip yet?

I think that "belt" is known as an "FDNY Radio Strap".
I assume that speaker mic with the hang-up button attached to the clip needs to be specified when ordering it from Motorola.
I seem to recall a company, possibly Boston Leather sold those buttons as an aftermarket kit you had to install yourself, you had to drill thru the clip and rivet or nut and bolt it.

If you are using the XE remote speaker mic, the replacement button from radio tech will not work. You will need to order NNTN8749, which is the button for the XE RSM that is comparable with Boston Leather radio straps with FDNY style attachment.
