Thanks. That sounds expensiveThey are definitely not available from the factory, but I may have some.
Yeah, because of the twist on design of the domes, the domes were definitely a weak point on these lights. Good domes are not cheap. I just bought a nice red, and paid a high price for it, as red is hard to find in really nice condition. I have a few of other colors also, but for the time being, unless the price was right, they will stay in my collection.
I'm very surprised that they didn't learn from the early models that also cracked at the top of the dome. They should have reinforced the plastic at the flimsy mounting points. They could have made the plastic heavier to withstand the strain. Maybe they were aware of the weakness and just decided to sell more replacement globes. Dan: On the row with the large single-faced lights, are those strobes? Lubbock EMS had them bumper-mounted on their earliest EMS units back in the '70s.View attachment 204192 View attachment 204193 Updated picture of the ROTA-BEAM portion of my collection.

Dan: I have an older Deputy with an amber dome that I got off ebay a few years ago, and the bulb is missing. I have not been able to figure out how to remove the dome to replace the bulb. Thanks, I'll give it a try. From under the base losten the nuts on the bulb socket standoffs. Then twist off the dome. Be careful not to put too much stress on the dome retainer pins.
