Hey all,
I have been cruising ELB for some time now and know the knowledge base here is tremendous. I have used the search function, but doesnt mean I havent missed what Im looking for help on.

Aside from local/state laws pertaining to audible warning devices, is there any sort of standard (SAE, etc.) that sirens should meet when being installed on vehicles? The siren I am asking about specifically is the Lamphus SoundAlert SASN01.

To answer the original question, SAE J1849 is the relevant standard for sirens. Note that this is a standard written by engineers, for engineers. You're unlikely to find much user-friendly how-to information in there.
